Last updated: June 16, 2026

1. About the reviews on this site

All reviews on InsightIntern are first-person opinions submitted by individual userswho represent that they personally completed or interviewed for the internship they are describing. Reviews are unverified user-generated content and reflect the personal experience and opinion of the author at a specific point in time. They are not statements of fact by InsightIntern and should not be treated as such.

2. No fake or incentivized reviews

In accordance with the U.S. Federal Trade Commission's Rule on Consumer Reviews and Testimonials (16 CFR Part 465), the UK Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act 2025, and the EU Unfair Commercial Practices Directive, the following are strictly prohibited and will be removed:

  • Reviews from people who did not have the experience being described.
  • Reviews generated by AI and submitted as if written by a real intern.
  • Reviews bought, sold, or exchanged for compensation, gifts, or any other benefit.
  • Reviews submitted by an employer, its employees, agents, or competitors about that employer.
  • Suppression or selective publication of negative reviews in exchange for payment.

Submitting a review that violates this section may result in account termination and, where applicable, referral to regulators.

3. How we try to keep reviews honest

  • Reviewers must be signed in to a verified account before they can submit.
  • Each account is rate-limited and tied to a real email address.
  • Employer replies are visibly labeled as coming from a claimed employer account.
  • Employers cannot edit, hide, or delete reviews about their own company.
  • Reported reviews are reviewed by our moderation team and removed if they violate this policy.

4. Reviewer warranty

When you submit a review, you represent and warrant that: (a) you are at least 16 years old; (b) the review describes your own first-hand experience; (c) all factual statements are true to the best of your knowledge; (d) opinions are clearly your personal opinion; (e) you do not have an undisclosed material connection to the employer (employment, contractor, family, competitor, etc.); (f) the content does not contain personal data about identifiable third parties (e.g. your manager's name, salary of a colleague), confidential information, trade secrets, or anything that would breach an NDA you signed. You retain ownership of your review and grant us a worldwide, royalty- free licence to host, display, and moderate it.

5. Reporting a review (notice-and-takedown)

If you believe a review is fake, defamatory, contains personal data about a third party, infringes your rights, or otherwise violates this policy, use the Report link on the review, or email trust@insightintern.com with a link to the review and a short explanation. We aim to respond within 5 business days.

8. Liability and indemnity

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the service is provided "as is" without warranties, and our aggregate liability to you is capped at the greater of (i) USD 100 or (ii) the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose. You agree to indemnify us against third-party claims arising from content you submit or your breach of these terms.
